Music by the sea 7 - 9 September

The company La Rumeur has collected together musicians and seafood sellers to entertain you at the Plages de Corbières, L'Estaque. On the programme:
  • Friday 7 September at 8:30pm « Lyrico déjanté » Cathy Heiting & Jonathan Soucasse La fanfare « Gershwin & Fire » from the Company La Rumeur.
  • Saturday 8 September at 8:30pm « Fantaisiste » Pierre-Yves Plat [classical & jazz ] | Fanfare Fiera Brass [1930s New Orleans jazz].
  • Sunday 9 September from 4pm - « en famille » with practical art workshops.

World Water Forum, Pictures in Water 13 and 14 March

The 6th World Water Forum is taking place in Marseille this week. To mark the event you can go along to Cours Estienne d'Orves (behind the Vieux Port) and see the work of German photographer, traveller and ecologist Hans Silvester projected onto a wall of water. There's a performance at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm 10pm and 11pm and they last about 20 minutes.

Christmas Art Fair 22 and 23 December

Still looking for that special present for someone? Fancy treating yourself? Just want a break? In the Gallery Hors-Les-Murs/HLM at 20 rue Saint Antoine (tram stop Place Sadi Carnot) the Christmas art fair continues until 6pm on Friday 23. If you're there at the end you can start your Christmas with a wee vin chaud. The fair is selling a variety of art work, books and original presents at reasonable prices. Everything on show comes from local galleries.
